1957 DODGE SWEPTSIDE PICK-UP
VERY RARE - APPROX 180 MADE
$55,995.00
$44,995.00
In the late 1950's, these Dodge D100 trucks were built to compete with
Chevrolets Cameo Pick up of the day. They were shipped to Dodge Special
Equipment Group (SEG) where they were modified; becoming what was
referred to as the Sweptside Pickup. The stock rear fenders were
replaced with a pair of rear fenders and bumpers from a 1957 Dodge two
door Station Wagon. To get the look they required, they cut the tailgate
and reworked the body side mouldings to make it work. Our research
indicates of the 180 originally made only 75 remain today. Power came
from a Hemi V8, 315 cubic inches, 204 horsepower, coupled to the
Chrysler Push Button automatic transmission. This vehicle was restored a
number of years ago and although still shows well driving down the
street you do see some Patina to it up close. Finished in a two tone
combination of Tangerine over off White with a matching interior.
