This car is an incredible, ground up restored, example of a modernized early car, built with the idea of being used as a daily driver. In fact it has had 21,000 miles put on it since being restored. Mechanically upgraded, the car has a General Motors Ramjet 350 Fuel Injected Crate engine fitted, rated at 350 horsepower with 400 ft/ibs of torque. It has Hedman Shorty headers on it, a complete new exhaust system with crossover and muffler fitted in the stock position with 400 style chrome tips out the back below the rear quarter panel. The transmission is a 700R4 4-speed automatic with lockup torque converter and to get all that to the ground it has a Moser 12 bolt rear end with 3:26 gears and limited slip diff. It had a new fuel tank fitted with an electric fuel pump. Cooling is taken care of with a Hi-Capacity 4-row radiator and an electric fan. Suspension is a complete Global West Front end with “G Plus” upper and lower control arms with a modern steering geometry giving it 6 degrees of positive caster, Global West Coil Springs and Spindles, Bilstein adjustable front shocks and Z28 quick ratio power steering. It has Global West sub frame connectors and machined aluminium body bushings giving much improved stiffness to these early Firebird Convertibles. All of these modifications give the car a perfect stance, sitting about 1.25 inches lower than normal. The body is stunning to look at with superb glass like paint with panels that are beautifully straight. The interior has new door panels, carpets, dash top, convertible boot liner and for sound deadening, the car has been dynamatted. Front seats are new Carillo reclining buckets with leather and seat heaters while the back has been done in leather to match. It has a tilt steering column with a Budnick steering wheel, power windows, power door locks; an alarm system is fitted, with remote control for unlocking. The stereo is a Pioneer Premier with 7 speakers and an Audisson amp in the trunk, Sirius XM and it has an I Pod adapter, Motorola Bluetooth hands free with separate speaker and a power antenna. Air conditioning and heat is from Classic Auto. The Convertible top is a new canvas style, with an acrylic rear window. It has a full set of Auto meter Carbon Fiber Faced gauges to inform you of what’s going on. Wheels are Budnik, Polished Aluminium, 17 inch with BF Goodrich tyres and brakes are 4-wheel power disc with cross drilled rotors. The hood is from a 400 Firebird. Finished in Black Sapphire Metallic with Black interior and convertible top.
